Belgrade, December 20 – 22 – Smart Kolektiv has organized and facilitated creative workshop for the development of new social campaign on the prevention of violent extremism among young people in high schools in Western Balkans. This interactive and creative workshop engaged in the process 8 young, creative people – representatives of partner organizations from the region: ACT for SOCIETY Center (Albania), Center E8 (Serbia), Perpetuum mobile (Banja Luka), YEC Synergy (Kosovska Mitrovica), YMCA/SIT (Priština) and XY Association (Sarajevo).

Based on research carried out by CARE International Balkans and educational workshops in schools, the prevention of radicalism and violence extremism is recognized as important for further work on promotion of healthy lifestyles among young people. Through participative approach and engagement of young people (18-23 years) in the campaign development process, the workshop aimed at defining key messages of the campaign, as well as the channels of communication and campaign’s visual identity.

Since its founding, Smart Kolektiv has launched a social marketing program, with the aim of creative and professional use of marketing tools to influence some of the key challenges of our society – the fight against violence, civic participation, youth activism, reconciliation etc.

Project Young Men Initiative is implemented in the WB since 2008. The project is supported by CARE International Balkans, Austrian Development Cooperation and OAK Foundation. Smart Kolektiv has been included as a partner for the development of campaigns and communication materials that follow educational and other project activities.
