Belgrade/Online, June 21 – 22, 2021– During June, Smart Kolektiv organized a two-day training on introduction of green economy principles in public policies and plans. Training was organized on June 21st and June 22nd and it gathered 30 representatives of ministries, local self-governments, relevant public institutions and CSOs. Training was held by professor Dragan Golubović.
During the training some of the following topics were covered: new global developments related to the global economy transition, the green economy and the new negotiating framework for EU membership, negotiating Chapter 27 (environment and climate change), new legal framework for policy development in Serbia and the application of the concept of human rights in public policy development, the Law on Environmental Impact Assessment and its main features, challenges for the transition towards green economy in Serbia, etc. Within the training draft of a regional study “Our Green Future” was also presented.
Also, workshop EU Green Deal/Green Agenda for the Western Balkans was organized on June 21st as an introduction to the Training on incorporating green economy into public plans and policies. Workshop was held by Neda Stanković from Smart Kolektiv.
Training was organized within the project GEAR – Green Economy for Regional Development funded by the European Union under the Civil Society and Media Support Program for 2016-2017. The project is implemented by a consortium of organizations which, in addition to Smart Kolektiv from Serbia, include FORS Montenegro from Montenegro, CRP from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ekosvest from Northern Macedonia, EDEN from Albania, as well as the association SLAP from Croatia.
