Online events, April 2021 – At the beginning of April, Smart Kolektiv organized an online info session for 10 selected enterprises of the Program for supporting Sustainable Micro and Small Enterprises in Underdeveloped Areas in Serbia, with the aim of introducing and informing the participants about upcoming project activities.

Throughout April the main activity was to conduct needs assessments of the enterprises and to define the scope of the financial support for 10 companies and 30 suppliers in the program. In cooperation with business consultants, SK organized interviews during which the consultants conducted thorough analyses of key business segments, challenges and needs that the enterprises and their suppliers are confronted with. Furthermore, the consultants analyzed the investment needs. Based on the interviews, the consultants formulated recommendations and defined the necessary support that the companies should get both during the program and beyond.

Over the course of the coming months, program participants will have the opportunity to work on improving their business through a series of interactive workshops and individual consultations with experienced entrepreneurs and consultants. Companies with the greatest potential for further growth and creating employment opportunities will be able to apply for grants in the amount up to 6,000.00 USD within the framework of the program. Besides, through three promotional events, participants will have the opportunity to present their enterprises to the public and to develop cooperation with other socially responsible organizations, companies and social enterprises in Serbia.

The program is being implemented by Smart Kolektiv in partnership with the association ProAktiv from Niš and the association Roads of Entrepreneurship from Novi Sad. The program is being implemented within the project “Norway for you – Serbia”  funded by the Kingdom of Norway and implemented by the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS).
