Portoroz, November 16, 2021 – Smart Kolektiv proudly announces that we have been recognized with the European Enterprise Promotion Award (EEPA) as the national winner in the category of Responsible and Inclusive Entrepreneurship for supporting young social entrepreneurs in turning their ideas into reality through the RISE project.
Thanks to this achievement, our colleague Jelena Janakievska has had the opportunity to attend the European Enterprise Promotion Awards (EEPA) Assembly on behalf of the team that implements the RISE project. The European Enterprise Promotion Awards, initiated by the European Commission, identify and recognize the most successful promoters of enterprises and entrepreneurship around Europe, showcase best entrepreneurship policies and practices, raise awareness of the added value of entrepreneurship and encourage and inspire potential entrepreneurs.
Smart Kolektiv is one of the six local incubators that have been implement the RISE project in the Western Balkans region since 2019. Throughout this project Smart Kolektiv empowered more than 40 young change makers in their entrepreneurial endeavors and will continue to do so. The Responsible and Inclusive Entrepreneurship category that our organization has been awarded with, celebrates projects that offer new and innovative solutions and approaches to promote socially and environmentally responsible business.
The RISE project is developed and supervised by a consortium consisting of the Regional Youth Cooperation Office (RYCO), GROUPE SOS Pulse, the South East European Youth Network (SEEYN), the Institut Français and the Franco-German Youth Office (OFAJ), and implemented by six local incubators – Smart Kolektiv (Serbia), IPC Tehnopolis (Montenegro), ARNO (Northern Macedonia), Balkan Green Foundation (Kosovo), Nešto više (BIH) and Yunus Social Business (Albania).
