The beginning of the Green Kick project, which aims to increase the influence of civil society in Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, and on legislation in the field of decarbonization and climate change mitigation, was marked by the signing of partnership agreements and a two-day working meeting in Tuzla.
Hosted by the Center for Development and Support (CRP), representatives of Smart Kolektiv and FORS Montenegro, were welcomed on February 6-7 to sign partnership agreements and jointly plan further activities on the project. On this occasion, Ina Salihović, a climate change expert from CRP, delivered an excellent presentation to introduce the process of developing Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plans (SECAPs) and all the elements these strategic documents should contain.
Through capacity building, improving collaboration between civil society organizations and local government units, and the regional GEAR network campaign, this three-year project is dedicated to systemic climate change mitigation in these three countries of the region. Key project activities include training for civil society organizations, awareness-raising campaigns and participatory SECAP development processes.
The project is implemented in partnership with organisations Centre for Development and Support from Bosnia and Herzegovina and FORS Montenegro, and it is part of the European Climate Initiative (EUKI) of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK).
