The Western Balkans Region, April 2021 – As part of the RISE program for young people, Smart Kolektiv organized an online session on Social Impact Management where Collette Williams, director of the social enterprise FRC Group from Great Britain, shared her experiences with the RISE teams.

Collette gave an insightful talk on how important it is for social enterprises to measure, manage and report on their social impact. Using the example of the FRC Group, she introduced the teams to the different ways in which the FRC Group measures the positive impact it has on communities across the UK and how they came to be the first company to publish a joint financial and social impact report. Moreover, Collette shared some tips for all those who are at the beginning of their entrepreneurial journey.

The session with Collette Williams is part of a series of interviews with experts from various fields within the RISE program for young social entrepreneurs. Twelve selected teams from the Western Balkans region are currently in the Incubation Phase, which will last until June and includes a series of trainings, mentoring, financial support, and opportunities for promotion and networking. The Smart Kolektiv team works directly with these young people, supporting them to turn their ideas for better societies into reality.

The RISE project is developed and supervised by a consortium consisting of the Regional Youth Cooperation Office (RYCO), GROUPE SOS Pulse, the South East European Youth Network (SEEYN), the Institut Français and the Franco-German Youth Office (OFAJ), and implemented by six local incubators – Smart Kolektiv (Serbia), IPC Tehnopolis (Montenegro), ARNO (Northern Macedonia), Balkan Green Foundation (Kosovo), Nešto više (BIH) and Yunus Social Business (Albania). RISE is co-financed by the French Development Agency (AFD) and the Regional Youth Cooperation Office (RYCO). More about the RISE program>> website
