“Blatology” and “Mitrovački soko” are the two winning teams that will continue their RISE journey, it was decided at the Demo Day held on March 10 at the Digital Serbia space in New Belgrade.

Five young teams that have been actively participating in the Regional Incubator for Social Entrepreneurs – RISE for three months, presented their business ideas for solving various social and environmental problems to members of the jury at the “Demo Day” pitch session on March 10.

After careful consideration, the jury consisting of Miloš Paunović, Nordeus Foundation, Maja Kovačević, SOS Pulse, Marija Bulat, RYCO Belgrade and Marijana Savić, Atina NGO, decided that the teams “Blatology” and “Mitrovacki soko” will receive financial and practical support to implement their idea and improve the development of their business during the “incubation phase”. The third place went to the “Radionica DIY” team that will have the opportunity to participate with the winning teams in RISE Regional Mobility Program, in which, through study trips in the region, young entrepreneurs will connect with their colleagues, explore similar concepts of social entrepreneurship and share the lessons they learned during the RISE program. Shortly after the “Demo Day” pitch session, two members of each winning team will travel to Tirana to acquire new knowledge and skills through trainings and workshops at the RISE “Bootcamp”.

All participants who went through the three-month program and presented their ideas to the jury at the Demo Day were awarded a certificate of participation.

RISE – Regional Incubator for Social Entrepreneurs has been implementing a free support program for the development of social entrepreneurship ideas for the third year in a row. The program takes place simultaneously in six Balkan countries with the aim of enabling motivated and dedicated young people to develop their ideas and make the region a better place. During the 3-month “ideation phase”, young initiators of positive change developed their idea from scratch to a business model. On that journey, they had the support of experts and mentors, with whom they went through all the important steps in starting a social enterprise. A total of eight workshops from six thematic units were held, including “Social Business Canvas” and “Pitch Preparation” led by Sonja Dakić, “Marketing and Market Research” led by Milica Čalija, “Finance, Basics of Financial Budgeting and Planning” led by Vladimir Jovanović, “Client relations, channels and sources of income” under the mentorship of Neda Stanković and “Activities, resources and partners”, led by Neven Marinović.
