Six young teams that have been actively participating in the Regional Incubator for Social Entrepreneurs – RISE for three months, will present their business ideas for solving various social and environmental problems to members of the jury at the “Demo Day” program on March 10.
During the 3-month “ideation phase”, young initiators of positive change developed their idea from scratch to a business model. On that journey, they had the support of experts and mentors, with whom they went through all the important steps in starting a social enterprise. A total of eight workshops from six thematic units were held, including “Social Business Canvas” and “Pitch Preparation” led by Sonja Dakić, “Marketing and Market Research” led by Milica Čalija, “Finance, Basics of Financial Budgeting and Planning” led by Vladimir Jovanović, “Client relations, channels and sources of income” under the mentorship of Neda Stanković and “Activities, resources and partners”, led by Neven Marinović.
The “Demo Day” pitch session will be held on March 10 at the Nordeus Hub. The jury consisting of Miloš Paunović, Nordeus Foundation, Maja Kovačević, SOS Pulse and Marija Bulat, RYCO Belgrade, will have the difficult task of choosing two teams that will receive additional financial and practical support to implement their idea and improve the development of their business during the “incubation phase”. Shortly after the “Demo Day” pitch session, two members of each winning team will travel to Tirana to acquire new knowledge and skills through trainings and workshops at the RISE “Bootcamp”. In addition, another team that wins third place will have the opportunity to participate with the winning teams in RISE Regional Mobility Program, in which, through study trips in the region, young entrepreneurs will connect with their colleagues, explore similar concepts of social entrepreneurship and share the lessons they learned during the RISE program.
