Belgrade, December 4 – CSR Forum 2019 featured the round table on green economy and green entrepreneurship that gathered representatives of public, business, civil sector and universities. The main goal of the discussion was to identify priorities in the context of Green Economy development in Serbia as well as key challenges for further advancements in this area. The participants of the Round table were Mr. Siniša Mitrović, Advisor to the President, (Chamber of Commerce Serbia); Mrs. Tijana Koprivica, Head of sustainability (Delta Holding), Mrs. Jadranka Marčok, Director, (Zeleni krug), Mrs. Aleksandra Kecojević (Divac Foundation), Mr. Nenad Blagojević, Journalist and Editor in Chief (Priče s dušom), Mrs. Jovana Slavnić, student (European Asssociation of Law Students of Belgrade), Mr. Aleksandar Marković, student (The University of Belgrade Faculty of Forestry) and Neda Stanković, Program Manager (Smart Kolektiv).

Main priority areas recognized by participants were: improvements of the regulatory framework, access to finance (introduction of different financial instruments and financial incentives for transition to green businesses), activation of the Green (Environmental) Fund of the Republic of Serbia and transfer of knowledge.

Part of the regional project “GEAR – Green Economy for Regional Development”, funded by the European Union under the Civil Society and Media Support Program 2016-2017 and co-financed by the Serbian Ministry of Environmental Protection. Project is implemented by FORS Montenegro in partnership with Smart Kolektiv from Serbia, Center for Development and Support from Bosnia and Hercegovina, EKO Svest from Northern Macedonia, EDEN Center from Albania and the Association Slap from Croatia.
