The Economic Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities project is financed by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented by the Youth with Disabilities Forum. Other project partners include Caritas Serbia, the Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation, Smart Kolektiv and the Center for Independent Living Serbia.
This main activities of the 4-year project are:
- Advancing workforce development so that PWDs have the skills and training necessary to secure jobs
- Fostering entrepreneurship for PWDs so that they have access to capital, markets, technical assistance, and networks on an equal basis with others
- Promoting overall enabling environments that respond to Inclusive Economic Development for PWDs.
This four-year, $2 million-dollar project will be implemented nationally while the set of activities will be implemented in Belgrade, Subotica, Novi Sad, Zrenjanin, Valjevo and Niš.
