Belgrade, November 6 – Instead of the previous 11,741 dinars, the non-taxable amount for scholarships and student grants will be increased up to 30,000 dinars per month.

At the initiative of Philanthropy Council, the Government of Serbia has accepted the regulation of the Draft Law on Amendments to the Law on Personal Income Tax, which proposes to increase the non-taxable amount for scholarships and student grants, the Government announced. “This decision is a significant result of the work of the Philanthropy Council, established last year by a decision of the Prime Minister of Serbia, Ana Brnabić and the initiative of the Coalition for Giving,” the Government said in a statement.

The regulation of the Law was officially adopted on December 6, 2019.
