The Responsible Business Forum invites graduates, final year undergraduate and master’s students to apply for the Sustainability Starter program – an educational program aimed at acquiring practical knowledge necessary for a career in the field of sustainability and corporate social responsibility. 

The Sustainability Starter program is designed for young individuals who are interested in sustainable development topics and want to take their first steps towards a career in sustainability and responsible business. Participants in the program will have the opportunity to learn from experts in this field from leading companies in Serbia. 

To apply the acquired knowledge, companies will assign the participants a #SustainabilityChallenge Challenge. Divided into teams, the Starters will have the opportunity to work on solving various business problems with mentorship support, such as reducing the carbon footprint of production, improving energy efficiency, or promoting the employment of disadvantaged groups. They will present their solutions to the business community at the largest CSR event in Serbia – the CSR&ESG Forum. Through a series of lectures, networking events, and mentoring, program participants will gain practical knowledge, skills, and new connections, making them better prepared to enter the world of sustainable business. 

This educational program has been running for 4 years, this year under a new name and refreshed content that follows the trends in sustainability and corporate social responsibility. 

What does Sustainability Starter look like? 

The program consists of a combination of online meetings and visits to companies that will host participants on their premises. Lectures are held once or twice a week, over a period of one month. The program also includes teamwork on a case study – the #SustainabilityIzazov challenge, for which participants will have mentor support. Participants will have the opportunity to present their solutions at the CSR&ESG Forum in December.

Who can apply? 

The call is open to final year undergraduate students, master’s students, and graduates (up to 12 months after completing their studies) from all over Serbia.
