Neven Marinović, the director of Smart Kolektiv, was one of the panelists at the “Standardized Non-Financial Reporting – Experiences and Perspectives” panel held on June 17 in Kragujevac.
Aiming to bring the issue of non-financial reporting closer to the public, the Center for Green Economy of the University of Kragujevac, the SDGs for All Platform, of which Smart Kolektiv is a part, and the Faculty of Economics in Kragujevac organized a panel dedicated to non-financial reporting.
The panel discussed the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive, European sustainability reporting standards, the development of ESG strategies, non-financial reporting, the role and importance of civil society organizations in ESG reporting and improving ESG performance, as well as examples of good practices.
Besides Neven Marinović, other panelists included Iva Svilar from the Belgrade Open School; Lana Hadži-Niković from CEVES (Center for Advanced Economic Studies); Ivona Gvozdenović from the Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation; and Marina Savić from Atlantic Group.
The panelists examined non-financial reporting from the perspective of stakeholder groups and highlighted the importance of each ESG component and the significance of standardization. They called on not only large companies but also small and medium enterprises to address ESG issues.
The panel was organized as part of the scientific conference “Accounting Knowledge as a Factor of Economic and Social Progress.”
The “SDGs for All” Platform is implemented in partnership with the Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation (AVDF), Center for Advanced Economic Studies (CEVES), Belgrade Open School (BOŠ), Center for Democracy Foundation (FCD), TOC – Association for the Development of Sustainable Communities, Foundation BFPE for a Responsible Society and the SMART kolektiv.
