Skopje, 22.05.2024 – Neven Marinović, the director of Smart Kolektiv, took part in the Philanthropy Forum 2024 held in Skopje on May 22. The forum, themed “Philanthropy as a Driver of Sustainable Development,” was a significant event that drew participants from various sectors to discuss and promote the role of philanthropy in addressing the complex socio-economic challenges of the 21st century.

Neven Marinović presented the Responsible Business Forum as a way to network the private sector and contribute to sustainable development through the exchange of experiences, networking, learning, public advocacy, and similar activities. This is particularly significant as the organizers of the conference, Konekt, also bring together companies in Macedonia into their business club. In this context, any exchange of experiences on how to best involve businesses in these topics is very important. The Forum is recognized as an organization with a long tradition and numerous successful projects, making it an ideal partner for collaboration with similar organizations in the region.

The Philanthropy Forum 2024 featured a diverse group of speakers from countries including Albania, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Singapore, Serbia, and Croatia. With over 80 participants representing institutions, businesses, civil society organizations, and the media, the event facilitated rich discussions and the exchange of best practices.

The Philanthropy Forum 2024 sent a clear message to all philanthropists, social entrepreneurs, corporate leaders, policymakers, civil society organizations, and media to join forces, create more opportunities, partnerships, and new models of enhanced cooperation that encourage growth on the path to sustainable development.

The Philanthropy Forum was organized as part of the USAID project “Partnerships for Donation” implemented by Konekt, in partnership with the European Center for Not-for-Profit Law (ECNL), the Chamber of Commerce of North-Western Macedonia, Indigo, and the American Chamber of Commerce in North Macedonia.
