The Youth with Disability Forum and Caritas Serbia, with support from the United States Agency for International development (USAID), have opened Career Centers for persons with disabilities in Belgrade, Subotica, Zrenjanin, Novi Sad, Valjevo, and Niš, at which career counselors provide individual and group career counseling and training to persons with disabilities to support them find employment and integrate into work  environment.

“The main advantage of these services is the ability of individual follow-ups in accordance with the employment plan and planned support measures. There is provided support in identifying individual needs for workplace and task adjustments and also for registration on the portal for employment of people with disabilities at www.zaposljavanje.fmi.rs” said Jovana Krivokuća – Milovanović, Executive director at the Youth with Disabilities Forum.

The counselors are available to assist interested individuals on weekdays from 9 am to 5 pm, and appointments for consultations can be scheduled via email or phone. The Career Counseling Centers were established as part of the Economic Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities project, funded by USAID and implemented by the Youth with Disability Forum. Other project partners include Caritas Serbia, the Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation, Smart Kolektiv, and the Center for Independent Living of Persons with Disabilities in Serbia.
