The call for the Regional Incubator for Social Entrepreneurs (RISE), a free support program for young people to develop a business that will improve life in the community, has been extended until October 8th. The call is open to young people aged 18 to 35 who are inspired to address a social or environmental issue and have the motivation to reconsider, develop, and ultimately transform their idea into a business during the program. Over the course of four months, participants will gain new knowledge, mentoring support, contacts, travel opportunities, and the chance to secure financial support for their business venture.
RISE – Regional Incubator for Social Entrepreneurs is a free support program for the development of innovative solutions to community problems. In addition to Serbia, the competition is open in five other Western Balkan countries, with each country accepting six teams to develop the knowledge and entrepreneurial skills during the program. Afterward, two teams from each country will receive financial support to establish their social enterprise. The program is intended for motivated and dedicated young people willing to invest their time in learning and contributing to positive changes in the Western Balkans.
The incubator will bring together motivated young people with innovative solutions for a new and improved approach to ecology, employment, women’s empowerment, rural development, education, health, or culture in their communities. Program participants will have the opportunity to acquire skills and knowledge to address social or environmental issues of interest to them, as well as learn how to earn a living while pursuing their beliefs. The goal of the program is to support ideas with a strong social mission that will make the region a better place.
This is the fourth cycle of the RISE program, through which more than 360 entrepreneurs have developed over 130 social ideas so far, with 36 projects receiving financial support, including Soko kamp, Blatologija, Vožnjom do samostalnosti, Women on the way, Mountain Ways, and Izađi u bar from Serbia.
