As part of the “Green Kick” project, the fourth cycle of SECAP workshops was conducted with local self-government units, aiming to present and align the final versions of the Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plans (SECAPs).
These workshops marked the final stage of a months-long process that included data analysis, identification of priority measures, and close cooperation with representatives of local governments. Participants were presented with the finalized documents, including key findings on CO₂ emissions, projections through 2030, and a set of priority actions focused on emission reduction, climate change adaptation, and alleviating energy poverty.
The workshops were organized both online and in person with representatives of local self-government units. Sessions were held in Novi Pazar on February 4, Petrovac na Mlavi on February 9, Šid on February 10, Vrnjačka Banja on February 11, and Smederevska Palanka on February 26. The final workshop in this series will take place in Kragujevac on March 3.
The Green Kick project supports local governments in Serbia in the process of decarbonization and building sustainable energy systems. The project is implemented by the Center for Development and Support from Bosnia and Herzegovina, in partnership with Smart Kolektiv from Serbia and the Foundation for the Development of the North of Montenegro – FORS Montenegro, and is part of the European Climate Initiative (EUKI), supported by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Climate Action, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMUKN).
