The Sustainability Academy has launched a new free course titled “Sustainability in the HoReCa Sector.” This course aims to guide participants through the process of sustainable transformation or the creation of a sustainable business in the hospitality sector.
The course is designed to familiarize participants with sustainability practices that increase efficiency and productivity, saving resources, time, and money. Participants will be introduced to applicable legal regulations and learn how to become more sustainable from a business perspective, thereby reducing exposure to legislative, competitive, and environmental risks, ensuring long-term stability. Additionally, they will develop a sustainability strategy, identifying specific measures to be taken to achieve set goals. Participants will also gain insight into sustainability practices that will enable them to have a positive impact on the community in which they operate, as well as to build a reputation and increase customer loyalty.
The Sustainability Academy was created with the support of the Coca Cola Foundation and it was launched in 2023 in Romania by Social Innovation Solutions (SIS), organization empowering individuals and organizations to develop sustainable solutions. In the first 10 months since its launch, over 12,000 Romanian SMEs registered on the platform. The Sustainability Academy is now available in three more countries, as a result of the of an ever-increasing demand from business to adopt sustainability practices in order to align with ongoing EU regulations and to capitalize on the opportunities that new sustainability demands bring. The national partner for the Serbian market is Smart Kolektiv, an organization pioneering the promotion of socially responsible business and social entrepreneurship in Serbia.
