The inaugural edition of the Transformator program, aimed at fostering the sustainable transformation of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and civil society organisations (CSOs), has successfully concluded in Serbia. Over the course of two months, twelve selected organisations worked on defining and developing business ideas based on sustainability principles and transforming their operations accordingly.
The program culminated in a two-day workshop with mentors from partner organisations and companies in Serbia, including the Serbian Chamber of Commerce (PKS), NALED, Adizes, GecicLaw, independent consultants, and numerous mentors from Coca-Cola HBC. Participants had the opportunity to receive expert guidance in areas such as legal regulations, business development, sales, distribution, implementation of ESG criteria, and circular economy. Their involvement contributed to the advancement of ESG practices and the transformation of the participating enterprises and organisations.
The program concluded with the recognition of the best ideas for improving business sustainability. Awards were given to P.S. Fashion from Čačak for their project on enhancing the value chain in the textile industry through circularity and to Inak from Bosilegrad for their project on constructing a cogeneration plant for wood industry waste. At the end of the month, these two organisations represented the program at the final event in Bucharest, where representatives of the most successful organisations from all participating countries gathered.
A special award for additional consultancy support in implementing ESG criteria was granted to Jasmil and the Centre for the Development of Participatory Education.
