The Buy Social Europe B2B initiative showcases over 40 case studies from 17 European countries, highlighting successful collaborations between social enterprises and mainstream businesses.

The collaboration between social enterprises and mainstream businesses is a crucial component of driving positive change in today’s economy. These partnerships enable both sectors to leverage each other’s strengths, creating innovative solutions that address social challenges while ensuring financial sustainability. By integrating social impact into their business models, mainstream enterprises not only contribute to societal good but also benefit from increased consumer loyalty, enhanced corporate reputation, and potential cost savings.

On the other hand, social enterprises, which prioritize social missions, gain access to new markets, resources, and expertise through these collaborations, allowing them to scale their impact. The case studies presented on this platform highlight the growing importance of B2B relationships, demonstrating how both types of organizations can work together to achieve shared goals, from improving workplace inclusion to advancing sustainability practices. These successful partnerships offer valuable insights into how social and mainstream enterprises can mutually thrive, benefiting society as a whole.

Among these inspiring examples are two from Serbia – the partnership between the social enterprise EkoBag and Erste Bank Serbia, and the collaboration between Novitas Consult and Elixir Group. Through the partnership between EkoBag and Erste Bank Serbia, nearly 5,000 m² of PVC film was recycled, and two hard-to-employ workers over the age of 45 were hired. Through professional rehabilitation and employment programs for people with disabilities, Novitas Consult packed and delivered 738 New Year’s gifts for Elixir Group in 2023, contributing to the economic empowerment and social inclusion of more than 22 people with disabilities.
