Projects that demonstrate care for people, nature, and communities
February 27, 2026 – Sidro Foundation, in cooperation with Smart Kolektiv, has announced the results of its second Call for Proposals supporting projects that contribute to sustainability and inclusion in Vojvodina. The list of selected projects is available on the Sidro Foundation website.
The Call, which was open from November 13 to December 12, 2025, received a total of 329 applications from agricultural, rural and tourism households, companies, entrepreneurs, associations, and individuals across Vojvodina. Following an administrative review and evaluation process based on predefined criteria, 33 projects were selected for support by the Sidro Foundation.
Between January 27 and February 19, site visits were conducted for 45 pre-selected candidates. During these visits, additional information was gathered, project details were clarified, and the feasibility of implementation was assessed. Based on the collected information and the evaluation process, the selection committee chose 33 projects demonstrating a high level of relevance, sustainability, and potential for positive impact on local communities. Of these, 26 projects will receive both financial and mentoring support; 5 projects (civil society organisations) will receive financial support only, in line with the Call’s conditions; while 2 projects have been included in a mentoring and advisory program as additional developmental support for promising initiatives. The next steps include preparing the necessary documentation and signing contracts with the selected candidates.
The selected projects reflect an authentic commitment by local people to create better conditions for themselves and their communities, improve everyday work, preserve nature, and strengthen local capacities in Vojvodina. From advancing agricultural production through modern and environmentally responsible methods, to the use of renewable energy sources and the development of new content for rural communities, to sustainable tourism and new business initiatives—each project contributes to the development and empowerment of local communities.
“We would like to thank everyone who applied to the Call. The quality and diversity of the applications confirm that Vojvodina has significant potential for developing sustainable and inclusive solutions and for building stronger local communities. We congratulate the candidates who successfully passed the selection process and encourage all participants to continue developing their initiatives,” said Jelena Savanović, Manager of the Sidro Foundation.
Sidro Foundation was established in 2024 with the mission of supporting the development of rural communities in Vojvodina through sustainable practices, healthy food systems, the empowerment of small farmers, and the improvement of local infrastructure.
