Participants of the Sustainability Starter program showcased solutions to assigned sustainability challenges they worked on in teams, with the support of mentors from leading companies.
After outstanding lectures on responsible business and sustainability held throughout October and November, future sustainability leaders were organized into teams, each assigned a Sustainability challenge. With mentor support, Starters successfully developed solutions presented on December 12th at the CSR & ESG Forum. After excellent presentations, Certificates of Participation were ceremoniously presented to the young participants of the program, while mentors and lecturers received Certificates of Appreciation for their selfless sharing of knowledge and experience. The Sustainability Challenge was supported by Coca-Cola HBC Serbia.
The challenge theme for Team 1 was the materiality assessment of Textil Pro. The task of this team was to create an end-to-end approach to assess material issues in line with dual materiality principles, with support from Teodora Pasulj, ESG Manager at PWC Serbia. Team 2 delved into the realms of green banking with the task of implementing an ESG strategy into everyday operations. The mentor for this team was Željka Ćirić Jakovljević, Head of Communications at UniCredit Bank Serbia. View their solution presentation!
Mentor Stefan Bićanin, CSR & PR Specialist in Delhaize Serbia, challenged Team 3 to devise a campaign raising awareness about food waste. Check out their solution presentation!
Team 4 focused on the sustainability assessment of the agribusiness supply chain, aiming to propose clear criteria and processes for evaluating supplier sustainability. Mentors Danko Kalkan, Senior ESG Manager, and Kristina Radoman, Senior ESG Advisor, from Ernst & Young supported the Starters in this task. View their solution presentation!
Avoiding accusations of manipulative green marketing was the task for Team 5. Mentor Milica Mišković, a senior expert in ESG and sustainability at the Responsible Business Forum, supported young Starters in this task. Check out their solution presentation!
This year’s CSR & ESG Forum conference was supported by the “Job Fit: Economic Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities” project funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented by the Youth with Disabilities Forum.
