At the beginning of 2021, the Youth with Disabilities Forum (YFD) launched the Network of Employers for the Employment of Persons with Disabilities. This initiative aims to provide strategic support to employers in creating sustainable practices for employing persons with disabilities.

Today, the network brings together over twenty companies that not only recognize the importance of employing persons with disabilities but also implement active employment policies. Their commitment directly contributes to improving the position of persons with disabilities and building a more inclusive society.

As the founder and coordinator of the network, YDF offers strategic support to employers in taking a more active approach to long-term and sustainable employment of persons with disabilities.

The network serves as a hub for gathering, counseling, information sharing, consultation, and capacity building for employers in the process of employing persons with disabilities. It also facilitates the realization of ideas and activities that contribute to enhancing the employability of persons with disabilities.

Smart Kolektiv is one of the YDF partners on the Economic Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities project financed by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). Other project partners are Caritas Serbia, the Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation and the Center for Independent Living Serbia. The project aims to advance workforce development so that persons with disabilities have the skills and training necessary to secure jobs, to foster entrepreneurship for persons with disabilities so that they have access to capital, markets, technical assistance, and networks on an equal basis with others and to promote an overall enabling environment that will foster the economic empowerment of persons with disabilities.
