Zoom, October 16–18, 2020 – During October, Smart Kolektiv, in collaboration with ERSTE Foundation, organized a three-day training named “Strengthen your market position: Branding strategies for NGOs”. The training was organized online, via Zoom platform, and the participants were representatives of civil society organizations from several different WB countries.
The main goal of the workshop was to provide civil society organizations with knowledge and skills to develop branding strategies in order to establish or strengthen their position on the market. CSOs had the opportunity to identify what kind of image they want to build for their audience and learn how to differentiate their products, services and identities from their competitors. The workshop consisted of the theory segments, discussions, best practice examples, group work and practical exercises.
The first day of the training was dedicated to a strategic approach to communication and steps in creating a communication plan, and the trainer was Neda Stanković, Program Manager at Smart Kolektiv. The second day was dedicated to branding and value proposition and the lecturer was Neven Marinović, executive director of Smart Kolektiv. The topic on the third day of the training was communication tactics, and the trainer was Marko Živković, an independent communication expert.
Workshop was organized within the NGO Academy program of Erste Foundation implemented in cooperation with the Competence Centre for Nonprofit Organizations and Social Entrepreneurship of Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU Vienna).
