Western Balkans, September, 2021 – From 26th of August till 26th of September, young teams interested in establishing sustainable social business, have had the opportunity to apply for the second circle of RISE program. Smart Kolektiv received a huge amount of quality applications from over 40 motivated young people, who are ready to embark on entreprenurial journey with us!
RISE – Regional Incubator for Social Entrepreneurs is a regional support program for young social entrepreneurs implemented by Smart Kolektiv within Serbia. During the first cycle of the RISE project, that took place last year, the call for applications collected 257 ideas from around the region. 46 teams have been selected to participate in an incubation program, gathering 137 young entrepreneurs. Through a series of workshops, lectures, meetups, mobility programs and financial support, these young people had a chance to learn, grow, do business and at the same time help solve problems of their local communities.
The RISE project is developed and supervised by a consortium consisting of the Regional Youth Cooperation Office (RYCO), GROUPE SOS Pulse, the South East European Youth Network (SEEYN), the Institut Français and the Franco-German Youth Office (OFAJ), and implemented by six local incubators – Smart Kolektiv (Serbia), IPC Tehnopolis (Montenegro), ARNO (Northern Macedonia), Balkan Green Foundation (Kosovo), Nešto više (BIH) and Yunus Social Business (Albania).
