Belgrade, July 17, 2020 – A consultative meeting on the improvement of the legal framework for donating surplus food was organized on July 17 with representatives of companies from retail and food production sector, concerning information and preliminary results of the analysis conducted by the Responsible Business Forum together with Coalition for giving lead by Foundation Ana i Vlade Divac within the Framework for Giving Project. Speakers at the meeting were Tijana Koprivica Chief Business Sustainability Officer at Delta Holding, Tijana Grković secretary from The Cabinet of Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia, co-leaders of the Working Group for food surplus donations Željko Mitkovski from the Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation and Ljiljana Ivanjac from the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management and Economic expert Mihailo Gajić engaged in the cost-benefit analysis. Participants were introduced with preliminary results and recommendations for improvement of this topic in order to provide additional comments and inputs.
